Krakow, Poland Although it’s an inland town, you would be forgiven for forgetting that, thanks to the prominence of the area’s numerous lakes in the landscape. Honestly, you’d need to dedicate your entire life to see all the historic centres of this beautiful continent. Savonlinna was founded in 1639 and built around the Olavinlinna castle, which you can still visit. Incredibly well-preserved architecture, fairy tale-like stone streets, fortified walls and even castles dominate these beautiful towns of Europe. More specifically, you need to visit some of Europe’s most beautiful Old Towns. If you want to see some of the world’s most diverse and distinctive cities, Europe is the place to go.
